This year's Bicycle bash is going to be the best one ever.
SWFBUD -- the alliance of Tampa Bay bike shops -- is holding this year's Bash in downtown Tampa in beautiful Cotanchobee Park from 10 am to 4 pm on Nov 4.
We have two big national platers in the bicycle world coming to exhibit at the Bash. Andy Clarke of the League of American Bicyclists will be in the house to talk bicycling. And the national TV show Pedal America will be there, too.
Our bike shops will be on hand to discuss the latest and greatest in bicycling.
And two big names in local eats and drinks will be on hand. The Columbia Restaurant will be serving paella and we'll have Papa John's serving pizza for the kids, while Cigar City beer will be poured by the Bay Area Freewheelers, a bike club resurrected from the former Tampa Bay Freewheelers.
We also have local government agencies from the city of Tampa and Hillsborough County on hand to tell you the latest in bicycling plans for our area.
And we will have a swap meet and kids activities, too.
And of course, don't forget the free raffle for free bike gear at the end of the day.
Log onto www.bicyclebash.com for more activities.
We also have great sponsors, including our presenting sponsor ISM bicycle seats and our co-sponsor the city of Tampa. Other sponsors include Hillsborough County, American Traffic Solutions, The Columbia Restaurant, Polar Bottle and Pedal America.
Contact alansnel@yahoo.com if you want to be an exhibitor at the Bicycle Bash event on Nov. 4.
